I Need To Update My Arm Pits

Hello Divas!!!

I just did a search for how to reduce black armpits and was surprised to see that this site ranked as number 5 on google for those results.

I guess my awful black armpits really were a hit with everyone since I posted pictures. It also means that I am not alone in this terrible journey although I have been seeing more people post better results than I did.

I guess it is time for me to take some more pictures of my armpits and show the progress or lack thereof on going from ugly black armpits to pretty, normal ones.

I am still waxing my armpits....although I did have to resort to shaving one time when I did not have any wax.

I will get some new pics up soon.

Hi, random comment, sorry.

I'm not entirely sure how I ended up on this blog, but I just checked out your whole underarm saga, and your condition looks a bit like Acanthosis Nigricans. Alone, it isn't really harmful, but it often appears as a symptom of other more serious conditions like type 2 diabetes or polycystic ovary syndrome.

I'm not saying it is, but if you've tried everything it might be worth getting checked out for them, especially if you have other symptoms of either (weight problems, irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, etc.). If there are other darkened skin areas like the groin or neck, I'd say it might be worth it to at least check out your insulin and hormone levels.

Hi
I have a problem like you and tried everything and nothing works
but for a few months now I can see progress ( a slow progress ) but it's progress anyway

1- don't wax use Philips Satinelle or something like it
2- every week gently rub your underarm with a pumice stone. This will help get rid of the dead skin and whiten the armpits
3- try to find nivea extra whitening deodorant

I'm dying to have a whiter area

BTW this blog using your pics http://prettywomen110310.blogspot.com/

It's Cristina again. :-) I've posted several re: darken underarms. I've tried the eBday whitening kit and several other tips. As I've mentioned so far. This has worked the best for me. I've lightened more than before and they haven't gotten any darker at all.
1) I quit shaving, and now only use an epilator
2) I use Tend Skin solution after every epilator session and about ever 3-4 day. This tends to remove dead skin off the surface.
3) I use milder deodorants now. I try to stick to natural ones, like Tom's or Jason.

Thanks again for giving us a great site to vent and find ideas others share!

Hi, i'm curious to see how your Under arms look now. I hope there are some improvements.
This year I've decided to stop using deos like dove, Rexona etc. Just switched to a more natural deo but haven' found the best one yet. I have slightly dark underarm caused by waxing gone wrong & also I guess from shaving. I recently purchased Diana stalder lightening cream but I noticed my underarms are getting even darker. I stopped using that and now I've switched to Neostrata glycolic gel. I've only been using it for 4 days but i'm already starting to see a slight improvement. I'll finish the whole bottle and if it really works I shall let you know. Though I really feel you should just save up your money And go to a dermatologist. Where are you from? I might be able to recommend one if you're from Manila as my mum really had terrible dark undrerarms

Thanks for posting up your quest for beautiful underarms - it makes me feel hopeful for mine. I feel horrible after my husband and sister insisted that I'm probably not 'sleeveless material' :(

I've stopped shaving quite a while ago and have since turned to epilating and exfoliating at least 3 times a week. However, my armpits still look horrendous! Hopefully I'll get to see some results after my pregnancy (I understand that hormones may play a part in skin blemishes).

Good luck now!
