I found this five day detox plan in an issue of a magazine I have been reading. I have been really bad about eating recently and added to NOT exercising I have put on even more weight.
I am currently at 165.3 lbs!!!!
This is nuts. My clothes can still go on me but my tummy is just so horrible that I am grossed out.
This five day detox is supposed to jump start your metabolism without leaving you hungry. It consists of 5 foods that you eat every day.
These five foods contain antioxidants and nutrients that should help speed up weight loss and they are:
- eggs
- spinach
- yogurt
- raspberries
- almonds
There are recipes for combining those ingredients into different meals during the day so I hope it works for me and I am not bored with only five different foods.
You are not supposed to do this detox for more than five days as it is merely a jump start to better eating. I will see where I am after the five days.

Have you tried intermittent dieting before? I'm following this regime called fast-5. Basically, you have to fast (no food, just drink liquids with minimum calories) for at least 19 hours (including your sleep time so it isn't so bad) and eat until you're full during a 5 hr eating window. You can google it online.
I've been fasting for a month now and have lost about 3kg. It's quite stressful during the first 2-3 weeks (adjustment period) but it gets so much better once you get the hang of it.

I will definitely try this out because it seems simpler than some of the other things I have tried.
My weight has always been an issue for me. I used to be really skinny, but I got larger when I got pregnant. However, I lost weight when I started dancing. I lost about 7 pounds in 2 weeks. I also reduced my food intake because my stomach would hurt if I ate a lot before dancing.
