Do One Simple Beauty Ritual Every Day

It can look like it takes a lot of work to look great every day and sometimes it does. But you can make your beauty routine take a little less work if you take the time to do one simple beauty ritual every day.

Teeth
Divas have great looking teeth and one of the easiest ways to get that look is to whiten your teeth. I personally use Crest Whitestrips every year to whiten my teeth and the results last all year long.

I get the strips a few months before my birthday in July and I apply them every other day until the box is used up. I get beautifully whiter teeth for only a few minutes every day and then I don't have to think about it for the rest of the year.

Skin
One thing I do EVERY day is to make sure my face is clean before I go to bed. Even if I have been lying around in bed all day (and took a shower in the morning) and don't shower before bed I will wash my face before I hit the sheets.

I also make sure to MOISTURIZE before going to sleep so that my face stays nice and moist while I sleep. This allows for deep penetration of all the skin goodies in my face cream and I wake up with dewy, moist skin.

Nails
I have horrible, flat nails that break and do not grow at all. I do not wear fake nails and since nail polish seems to flake off my nails in two days I opt for clear polish.

I make sure to reapply my nail polish every three days and completely take it off on the weekends to allow my nails a time to rest.

Falling In Love With Pink Wedges

Hello Divas!

I just saw a pair of shoes at a store that I am totally in love with. I did not take a picture of them and I thought I would be able to find them on the company website...but that is not the case.


So just to appease myself I am going to post a few pink wedges that I am in love with. I have never been a girly girl and pink was never one of my favorite colors...but I do love wedges and pink is always a good place for a diva to start.


These ones above are very stylized and I have no idea what someone would wear with these. But I guess if you are trying to make a fashion statement these shoes are the exclamation point!
 
These above  look comfortable and easy to wear just around to get groceries or do some casual shopping. They can be dressed up with some nice pants for work or may even make my jeans look better.

Of course there are tons of other shoes out there..but these were the ones that caught my eye and looked very comfortable to wear.

Decorating On A Student Budget: Bedding

Hello Divas!

I am back to being a full time student and I am moving to a new place. It comes partially furnished so this time around I am glad I do not have to spend money on furniture.

I will need a few accessories to spruce up the place as well as make myself comfortable so I thought I should start with my bedding.

I decided to go ahead and actively choose an easy-to-work-with color scheme of shades of grey.

I picked grey because it is less drastic than black and white which would be very stark. I also just really love grey and I am sure that the grey tones will have some black and white woven in.

I know that most people would actually pick black and white for the dramatic effect but I also want my bedding to be soothing and I think that the contrast with black and white would just be too much for me.

I am going to accent the plain colors with a pop of pink because I use satin pillowcases and they just happened to come in pink.

I thought of using this zebra pattern but felt it was a little too Jersey Shore and I also think that the plain stripes would not go out of style.


Maybe as I move forward I may go with the zebra print but for now I will be sticking to the softer play with the grey tones.

This bedding set costs less than $50 at Walmart so it is really good for those on a budget and it provides reasonably good quality for the price.

People Hate Long Nails

I just finished reading a funny article from one of my favorite Pink Diva Bloggers, Xiaxue. She talks about people hating Pretty Girls with Long nails.

Xiaxue has long nails and did a review of the iPhone which got her into trouble because she feels that it does not cater to people who have long nails.

She then got a backlash from people who think she is stupid or a tramp for having the long nails and wanting to look pretty all the time.

I say more power to you girl. If you want to look dolled up all the time there is nothing wrong with that. She is not hurting anyone and if they don't like it then they should just not read her blog.

Plus Size Model On America's Next Top Model

I am so happy that Whitney won this season of America's Next Top Model. Although she is classified as a full figured model or a plus size model I just think she is a beautiful Diva.

She looks great and carries her weight well. She looked Fabulous in that Pink Versace dress she wore for the judging and there is no question that her face is simply stunning.

Live Green and Think Pink

Although this blog is devoted to thinking Pink, we do have to give a nod to Earth Day. Earth Day is all about living green but I think this is something we should strive to do every day and not just one day out of the year.

Living green can not only help you to live a better life but you can also save money and save the environment.

Think Pink and be a fabulous Diva who Lives Green and cares about the planet. Go green today by bringing your own shopping bag when you go shopping. This will cut down on the plastic bags that we use every day and will mean less waste in our landfills.
