I am sure many of you Divas have seen the commercials for MaxiGlide. It is a hair straightener that steams your hair while making it straight.
I bought one recently and I must say that I LOVE it.
This gets my hair really straight and it looks even better than when I use a flat iron. The only thing I don't like about it is that the iron is a bit heavier than my regular curling irons.
The MaxiGlide has a flat side to flatten and smooth out the hair and the other side has pins that comb out the hair as you heat it. This detangles and separates the hair for better heat distribution.
I only use the MaxiGlide once a week and then wrap my hair the rest of the time and my hair looks as good all week as it did on the first day.
It was a bit more expensive but it is worth the price. I guess since it is heavy I can also look at that as a positive since my arm gets a workout as well!!!!!
What is your best hair straightening tool?

I know that many of you think that you do not need to drink as much water in the winter as you do in the summer.
You still need to make sure that you are well hydrated so that you can retain that beautiful skin and hair that you have carefully cultivated.
Remember to drink water all through the day...even if it is just a little bit. Use chapstick or some other lip balm to keep lips moisturized and prevent you from licking them.

I am currently using the L'Oreal Double Extend mascara and I must say that I love it. I do not normally wear makeup...and mascara was one of my least favorite things to mess with.
I decided to try the L'Oreal Double Extend because of the factors that make it easier to use. It is made up of two separate steps but is very easy to use.
The white tip is made of fibers that coat and condition the eye lashes and prepares them for the actual mascara. These fibers add to the length of your own natural lashes by forming a tube that extends your lash length.
The second step consists of the actual mascara which bonds to the white fibers and gives you great looking lashes.
The most important part to me was that you can wash this mascara off using plain water. The directions say to use warm water but I found you can do it with cold as well....it just takes a little effort.
I simply bent over the sink and ran my fingers under some water then rubbed my lashes between my fingers. The 'tubes' came off on my fingers easily, without leaving the messy smudge that most other mascaras leave behind.
You can click on any of the links or the image in this post to buy from Amazon (and help me make some money) or you can run over to stores like CVS and WalMart to get it for yourself.
I love this mascara and it is REALLY easy to use...and take off...for those of us who are not too handy with makeup tools.
