Eos Lip Balm (Product Review)

Hello Divas!!

A diva is always known by having soft, smooth lips and a great way to keep your lips in top shape is to have a great lip balm.

Now I have very sensitive skin and not every lip product agrees with me. I cannot use Chapstik brand lip balms because they cause my lips to swell up and peel. I have tried a few other balms with varying degrees of success until I found my one true savior in Pucker Ups lip balm.

I decided to try out Eos lip balms because I have heard a few good things about them and since they claim to be natural I really liked that.

I ordered the sweet mint flavor pictured above and I already like it in the first five minutes of using the product. The container is cute although it is a bit large for my taste. My other regular lip balm could fit easily in my pocket or in a tiny purse without creating a bulge.

This round shaped applicator does create a bulge in my tiny purse and it looks outright ridiculous in my pocket so I will not be keeping it in there.

According to Ulta the list of ingredients seem to be as close to natural as I have seen on any packaging. Here is the list of ingredients that can be found in the lip balm.

Sweet Mint: Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Beeswax (Cire Dabeille)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract*, Tocopherol, Limonene1, Linalool1. 1Component of Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*.

I threw my wrapper away before I decided to write this review so I cannot verify the actual list..but that looks about correct.

I love the fact that so many of the ingredients are simple oils like coconut and olive oil which we already know to be moisturizing from using them on our hair.

The balm has a light pleasant scent and the mint is really cooling on the lips without being overbearing. It goes on light and does not feel waxy like some other balms...I just need a few more days to see how it compares to my favorite.

Cute Panties Make My Day

Hello Divas!!!!

Time to talk today about something that we all love and use every day. Well at least I hope you use them every day because otherwise you will be inviting problems like yeast infections and chafing.

I am talking about Panties!!!

Panties!!!! Specifically CUTE panties and not just the ordinary granny panties that you just wear to feel comfortable.

I love panties that are cute but also comfortable and I think I found the best combination of that in hipsters and boyshorts.

Are Sulfate Free Shampoos Good For You?

Hello Divas!!!

I have been hearing a LOT recently about how sulfate free shampoos and conditioners are better for you. If you look at your list of ingredients in MOST shampoos you will see this ingredient listed:

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

This is the main thing that causes your shampoo to foam up and create those wonderful suds that we all assume are vital to clean your hair.

The thing is that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is actually a harsh salt and it strips your hair. This is probably the reason why you notice your hair is so rough after using shampoo alone and you therefore need to use conditioner.

The newest talk is that you do not need to use SLS on your hair to get it clean and you can use Sulfate Free shampoos and conditioners instead. These have an ingredient called Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate instead, which is supposed to be better for your hair and skin as it is milder.

You can read up all about the chemical breakdown of the two different ingredients elsewhere but in short Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is much gentler on your hair and skin.

I started using L'Oreal Sulfate Free shampoo and I hope that it is truly better for my hair. I did notice after one use that my hair did not feel as rough as with other shampoos, but one use is not enough to make a really good decision.

Decorating On A Student Budget: Bedding

Hello Divas!

I am back to being a full time student and I am moving to a new place. It comes partially furnished so this time around I am glad I do not have to spend money on furniture.

I will need a few accessories to spruce up the place as well as make myself comfortable so I thought I should start with my bedding.

I decided to go ahead and actively choose an easy-to-work-with color scheme of shades of grey.

I picked grey because it is less drastic than black and white which would be very stark. I also just really love grey and I am sure that the grey tones will have some black and white woven in.

I know that most people would actually pick black and white for the dramatic effect but I also want my bedding to be soothing and I think that the contrast with black and white would just be too much for me.

I am going to accent the plain colors with a pop of pink because I use satin pillowcases and they just happened to come in pink.

I thought of using this zebra pattern but felt it was a little too Jersey Shore and I also think that the plain stripes would not go out of style.

Zebra Print Complete Bed in a Bag Maybe as I move forward I may go with the zebra print but for now I will be sticking to the softer play with the grey tones.

This bedding set costs less than $50 at Walmart so it is really good for those on a budget and it provides reasonably good quality for the price.

With this bed in a bag set you get all of the following items for any size that you choose:
-comforter
-bed skirt
-fitted sheet
-flat sheet
-2 pillow cases
-2 shams

except in the case of the twin bed where you only get one pillow case and one sham.
