Yoga Is Good...And Bad For You

Hello Divas!!!

While on the topic of keeping yourself beautiful I ran across this article that says Yoga Can Wreck Your Body and I just wanted you all to be aware of it.

Yoga is great way to get in shape and improve your flexibility but many people tend to rush into difficult poses because of peer pressure. The article talks about some yoga instructors who tell their clients they 'should' be able to do a certain pose by now and they push and pull on the client's body to achieve the pose.
 

Actions like this can lead to serious injury so just be very careful when you are taking your classes. Go with your body...go slowly and if something feels like it is too advanced don't do it just because everyone else is doing it.

Be good to yourself and yoga can be one of the best things that you have ever done for your health and your beauty.

I've always found it interesting that a lot of yogiis seem to have extended bellies. I think it's from the diaphragmatic breathing. I personally think it's not healthy to have an extended belly,,, it seems to throw off the posture and cause excess anterior pelvic tilt. That's why I prefer Pilates which seems to strengthen, tighten, and slim the core.
